Calcitriol Tablet

Calcitriol Tablet is active vitamin D metabolite which is indicated for the treatment of osteomalacia, rickets, hypoparathyroidism, and osteoporosis. It is known to work by increasing absorption of dietary calcium and reducing excretion of Ca++ by the kidney. Calcitriol has molecular formula C24H44O3 with the molar mass of 416.64 g/mol. It shows excellent protein binding ability of 99.9% with an elimination half-life of 5 to 8 hours. Calcitriol Tablet is also prescribed for the treatment of corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis and assures superior effectiveness with the targeted mode of action. It is also known to have the ability to increase reabsorption of renal tubular calcium.
